Snow is precipitation in the form of crystalline water ice, consisting of a multitude of snowflakes. Since it is composed of small rough particles it is a granular material. It has an open and therefore soft structure, unless packed by external pressure. Snow is commonly formed when water vapor undergoes deposition high in the atmosphere at a temperature of less than 0°C (32°F), and then falls to the ground.

Gaggle is an ancient Norske term used to describe a group of 4 or more telemark skiers. The term was later adopted in the 17th Century by Ornithologist, John James Audubon whos name was also linked to fast highways in Germany.
This was a great trip. A large group met at Roger's Pass, BC.
Skiers and one questionable snowboarder came from Vancouver Island, Vancouver and Calgary.
Of particular note is my Dad who is an avid skier- he made his first trip into the backcountry on some skinny torture skicks that he borrowed from Hans Steiner!
